“I don’t think anyone has a relationship with their audience the way that I do. I think when you start a show talking about sex—especially for women and it’s so taboo and there’s so much shame—the amount of that trust that that garnered between me and them was unmatched.”

She continues:

“I think sometimes in the creator world, it gets a little disconnected because we also are trying to run businesses, right? You can’t always do everything for your fans. But I can say I have been in huge meetings with a lot of executives telling me what to do, and I’m like: ‘I don’t want to do that because the Daddy Gang won’t connect to that.’ And there’s a lot of money on the table or there’s brand deals… And I have really been intentional. I care more about the content than the public-facing accolades we’re going to get. And I think because I focus so much on my relationship with my audience, it just keeps getting bigger.”
